I entered the mortgage industry in 1984 and opened Viewpoint Financial in 1991, which is now a Redlands, CA-based boutique mortgage brokerage. Where many of the country's largest banks failed, our brokerage weathered the recession and continues to offer superior customer service. I hold licenses in California, Florida, and Georgia.
My wife and I are active in our community in a variety of ways, every so often working together on various projects, committees, and city commissions.
I have contributed many years on the Boards of Directors of both the Redlands Bowl Performing Arts and Redlands Community Hospital, serving twice as President of The Bowl.
We both are active members and past Presidents, of the Rotary Club of Redlands, which has provided other avenues of contributing to our community, such as my Co-Chairing the Redlands Community Baccalaureate Committee and being on the committee of our Local Control and Accountability Plan for the Redlands Unified School District.
As a team, my wife and I find we are able to actively participate in and give back to our wonderful community!

I have been working in the mortgage industry for approximately seven years. Being a young professional passionate about all things finance, I began working in the mortgage industry in 2012 in Loan Setup, was promoted to leading the Validation team, then to Underwriting Assistant, and on to being a Funding Assistant before taking my current position as Loan Processor. In addition to these experiences, I am now a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator.
I was born and raised in Redlands, and I love working in the heart of the historic downtown. When I'm not working to help my clients secure loans and refinancing, you can find me on the golf course or softball field. I love to watch sports as well, although I'm often disappointed, since my teams are the Angels and the Ducks. I enjoy my free time with my beautiful wife and my two dogs Murphy and Birdie.

I am a California native, born in San Bernardino, and a 1964 graduate of Eisenhower High School in Rialto. I am an Air Force (Vietnam Era) Veteran from 1966 to 1970. In 1976, I completed my qualifying Real Estate studies at Valley College, and in 1977, I received my California Department of Real Estate License. I initially sold real estate for five successful years in San Bernardino. In 1982, I entered the Mortgage Industry and worked for Occidental Mortgage for 14 years and Arrowhead Capital Mortgage for 24 years.
I joined Viewpoint Financial Home Loans in March 2020 as a Senior Mortgage Planner. I have 40 years of experience providing consumers with Residential Home Loan programs, including Purchases, Refinances, Investment Properties, Home Equity, and Second Home Loans.

Janae has the experience to meet both our internal and external marketing objectives. She received her Marketing degree in 2007 from the University of Phoenix and has worked in Marketing ever since.
She is the mother of 2 and the wife of a career Marine. Although originally from California, she has lived all over the United States due to the Marine Corps. She currently resides in San Diego, CA and enjoys traveling and reading during her free time.
